The Sydney-based team acts for insurers, self-insured clients, specialised insurers, and regulators, providing complex litigation and advisory services across multiple jurisdictions.

The Role
You'll be involved in a wide variety of insurance matters, including:
- Managing complex trial and appeal litigation in the Supreme Court, District Court, and Personal Injury Commission
- Advising clients on liability, strategy, risk management, and policy coverage issues
- Drafting court documents and providing high-quality legal advice
- Negotiating commercial outcomes for clients
- Collaborating closely with Partners, junior lawyers, and external Counsel
You will have at least 5 years' post-admission experience with:
- Proven success in defending employers and insurers in industrial common law negligence claims
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance legal and commercial considerations in client-focused advice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive approach and a willingness to mentor junior lawyers
