Job Description

We are working with a significant NSW organisation, that is now seeking a senior level environment and planning lawyer for an initial 6 month period, with the potential for this contract to be extended.

Requirements

Our client is seeking an experienced environment and planning lawyer to join their team, with at least 5+ years’ of post admission experience.

The focus of this role will be providing legal support on environmental & planning law, compulsory acquisitions, contaminated land and native title. You will be involved in large scale infrastructure projects, advise on planning instruments, disputes in the land & environment court, pollution, impact statements, community and stakeholder engagement projects, as well as providing general legal support in this area.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Excellent communication and management skills;
• Experience in Environment and Planning Law;
• Experience in a reputable Private Practice or In-house environment;
• Strong stakeholder management skills;
• A problem-solving and commercial mindset;
• The ability to work in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment;
• High attention to detail and excellent communication skills;
• Commitment to providing outstanding client service.
