The Environment & Planning team at this major corporate law firm comprises a discipline of top tier lawyers across all their offices.
With a strong practice, the team advises on all aspects of environment and planning law from major infrastructure projects, through to ecologically sustainable development, contamination and remediation, water, energy & resources, and planning issues.
The team regularly acts for for a range of major corporations and government clients and is widely-regarded as a pre-eminent practice.
You will work across partners who are consistently ranked by all recognised legal directories as leaders within their chosen fields.
The type of work you will be involved in will include:
- environmental impact assessments;
- remediation and development of contaminated land;
- risk management;
- defence of environmental prosecutions; and
- planning law.
It is a collaborative, busy and friendly team. Given the structure of the team, this is a unique opportunity to assume a high level of responsibility and autonomy, and ultimately be an invaluable resource.
The successful applicant will have between 4 and 8 years'
post admission legal experience (though there is likely to be flexibility around this).
You will have experience in environment and planning law, preferably covering aspects such as major infrastructure projects, ecologically sustainable development, contamination and remediation, planning issues, native title and land acquisition work.
