Due to the continued growth of our client's Employment Team, they are looking for a senior Employment lawyer to join their Melbourne office.

The Melbourne Employment Team is regarded as one of Australia's leading practices and includes globally respected practitioners. They cover the full ambit of employment matters, and the team has a track record for advising on some of the most important and challenging legal problems across the Employment Law sector.
   
The team are regularly acknowledged as leaders in their field by independent legal directories.
   
Position Description
   
This is a superb opportunity for a driven and talented Senior Associate (or experienced Associate) who wants to be part of a growing team within a market-leading practice. You'll work closely with clients to understand their businesses to find better ways to manage their employment, industrial relations, discrimination and work health and safety challenges.
  
You will work on matters including:
  
  • disputes and litigation; 
  • providing employment, IR and associated advice, including on the employment aspects of corporate transactions; 
  • employment-related compliance and regulatory; 
  • enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes; 
  • work health & safety; and
  • workplace investigations. 
  
Requirements
   
You will be a Senior Associate level lawyer (or an experienced Associate) with significant exposure to a broad range of employment matters from a leading practice.
   
In addition, you will have:
  • An ability to take ownership of a matter
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
  • A well-developed commercial awareness, and
  • A strong academic background.
