The Team The Corporate M&A team is widely recognised for its deep expertise across complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, with a multidisciplinary approach that supports clients through every stage of high-stakes transactions. Known for navigating intricate regulatory, tax, and geopolitical challenges, the team is well-regarded for helping clients achieve strategic commercial goals in new and existing markets. This team’s clients include prominent investment funds, insurers, and market-leading energy and telecommunications companies, providing tailored advice that addresses diverse sector needs.
The Role In this role, the successful candidate will advise clients on all aspects of corporate M&A transactions. This includes supporting acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and other strategic corporate matters, while working closely with clients to navigate evolving regulatory and competitive landscapes. The role offers significant exposure to cross-border transactions and an ideal platform for honing expertise in complex deal structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on the legal and commercial aspects of M&A transactions, including public and private acquisitions and disposals
- Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing key transaction documentation
- Conducting due diligence and providing regulatory guidance to ensure compliance with local and international standards
- Collaborating with cross-practice teams to address tax, financing, and governance considerations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive and responsive client service
Key Requirements The ideal candidate will have
1-2 years PQE in a reputable corporate M&A practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in corporate M&A transactions, including both private and public deals
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- A commercial approach with the ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting cross-border M&A transactions
