The Team The Investment Funds team is renowned for its extensive expertise in fund formation and regulatory matters, serving prominent hedge funds, private equity funds, and other alternative asset managers. The team provides advice across a wide array of asset classes, including real estate, infrastructure, credit, and venture capital. Their in-depth knowledge of the global regulatory landscape allows them to offer holistic support to both established and emerging funds, from structuring and compliance to complex tax and restructuring advice.
The Role The successful candidate will support the Investment Funds team on a variety of private fund formation matters, advising clients on structuring, compliance, and regulatory considerations. This role provides the opportunity to engage with sophisticated fund structures and high-profile clients, contributing to strategic fund management and the establishment of new vehicles across different asset classes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on the formation and structuring of private funds, including private equity, credit, and hedge funds;
- Providing regulatory guidance on fund management and compliance matters;
- Supporting clients with fund-related documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, and subscription documents;
- Collaborating across practice areas on fund-related transactions, including venture capital and buyouts; and
- Developing strong client relationships and offering commercially focused solutions.
Key Requirements The ideal candidate will have
1-3 PQE in a reputable investment funds or corporate practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in fund formation and structuring across asset classes.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to client service.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting private funds in the UK and EU.
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to offer practical solutions.
Candidates
MUST be qualified solicitors, ideally in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
