The Restructuring & Insolvency team The Restructuring & Insolvency team is one of the largest, and most experienced in this practice area across the world.
They are involved in many high-profile restructurings and insolvencies across a broad range of sectors including aerospace and defence, agribusiness, chemicals, construction, energy, entertainment, financial services, healthcare, high-tech manufacturing, infrastructure, insurance, mining and minerals, oil and gas, and real estate.
The Role The team are now looking for a talented Lawyer with insolvency disputes experience to join them in their Melbourne office. This role will see you working closely with a highly regarded Partner, on contentious insolvency matters including litigation.
You will gain exposure to a range of matters including:
- credit risk reduction and management;
- creditors' rights and obligations;
- cross-border restructuring and insolvency advice;
- investigations and examinations by ASIC, administrators and liquidators;
- voluntary administrations, liquidation and insolvency litigation;
- acting for banks and financial institutions in litigation;
- voluntary administrations, receiverships and liquidations;
- recovering assets for creditors in bankruptcy proceedings; and
- corporate turnaround and restructuring solutions.

Requirements To be successful, you will be an ambitious Lawyer with
2 to 5 years’ PAE in restructuring and insolvency, ideally with a focus on litigation.

- An excellent work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Great commercial acumen and communication skills
- A genuine interest or passion for restructuring
