The RoleThey are looking for an established lawyer to join the Insurance team in Melbourne.
This is a fast-paced role within a busy practice, providing expert legal advice to insurance and government clients on complex personal injury and liability matters. Some of the role responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients, witnesses, and experts, providing advice on liability, strategy, and case outcomes.
- Reviewing medical materials and evidence to support legal analysis.
- Drafting court documents, settlement deeds, and briefs for counsel.
- Coordinate with opposing lawyers, mediators, and external counsel.
- Mentor junior lawyers and manage task delegation within the team.

Requirements
The successful candidate will have between 4 and 8 years PAE with strong litigation experience preferably in personal injury insurance.
Additionally, you will be:
- Autonomous with strong drafting skills and a solid understanding of legislation.
- Self-driven, with excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
- A professional, client-focused team player who supports colleagues and fosters trust.
