Our client is a prestigious firm that is at the forefront within this practice area. They are entrusted by high-value clients for their important matters.

The Team

The team stands out for its international presence and management of global trademark portfolios. They are adept in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of the sector. Therefore, they have longstanding and loyal clients. 

The Role
  
This role will see you working as part of a close-knit team on a range of both contentious and non-contentious IP & IT matters. A significant amount of the work will be on corporate transactions (M&A/Private Equity) with IP or data protection components. Moreover, the position will see you working on representing clients in pretrial proceedings, as well as engaging in settlement negotiations. You will also get exposure to data protection, technology, general IP, trademarks, licensing and more.
  
The successful candidate will gain exposure to a range of high-profile and highly complex domestic, cross-border and multi-jurisdictional IP & IT matters.  This is a great opportunity for a driven and talented lawyer to develop their legal skills in a great team.
  
Key Requirements
  
The successful candidate should have substantial experience on an associate level within the IP & IT practice in a leading law firm.

Our client will consider those who are more specialised looking to broaden skill set and very much open to Associates from Australia and New Zealand. 

You will also have:

  • a broad range of experience and a keen interest in all aspects of IP & IT law;
  • a strong academic background;
  • excellent technical and analytical skills across transactional documents, contractual drafting, due diligence and providing strategic advice;
  • experience in running negotiations and meetings; and
  • impeccable attention to detail.  
Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor.
