Due to the continued growth of our client's Litigation team, they are looking for a bright and talented litigation lawyer to join their Sydney office.
Commercial Litigation & Disputes Team The Sydney Litigation & Disputes team is regarded as having one of Australia's leading practices and includes highly respected practitioners regularly acknowledged as being leaders in their field by independent legal directories.
The team covers the full ambit of disputes including multi-jurisdictional litigation in proceedings before the superior courts, contractual disputes, directors' duties, shareholder disputes, securities litigation, regulatory investigations work, and has a strong focus on insolvency matters.
Position Description Due to growth, the team is looking to add an experienced lawyer at the Senior Associate level to their Sydney team. This role will see you practising on a range of commercial disputes with a focus on insolvency litigation. You will work in a collaborative and rewarding environment, with direct access to Partners.
You will gain exposure to a range of insolvency disputes across major corporate clients and financiers, including advising on administrations, director's duties, receiverships, liquidations, deeds of company arrangements, secured and unsecured creditor rights, bankruptcies and personal insolvency agreements.

Requirements You will be a lawyer with
between 3-8 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation. Candidates with broad disputes experience including across insolvency and regulatory disputes will be considered favourably.
In addition, you will have:
- an ability to take ownership of a matter
- a thorough knowledge of the Australian superior court system
- a developed commercial awareness
- a strong academic background.
