Our client is a leading Australian law firm, known for being a wonderful place to work.
They're on the hunt for a Senior IP/Trademark Litigation Legal Secretary to support one senior Partner and team in their growing IP practice area. You'll need to have plenty of experience working in IP and Trademark with a focus on litigation so you can hit the ground running.
This is a rare 3-day a week part-time role (0.6FTE), which can also be worked across 4 or 5 days at reduced hours (perfect for school pick up and drop off). They're also happy accomodate some WFH for the right candidate too, after training.
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain trade mark and IP portfolios on a national and international scale, including domains and business name registrations
- Prepare and submit trade mark applications in Australia and internationally
- File documents with IP Australia and IPONZ
- Manage and update IP management system
- Gather evidence for trade mark infringement and opposition
- Develop and update template letters
- General administrative tasks as required
What we're looking for: - At least 6 years' experience in a similar Legal Assistant role in IP/Trademark Litigation (IP/Trademark experience is essential)
- Have experience managing portfolios and ensuring deadlines are met
- You'll need impeccable attention to detail and organisation skills
- Time management will be your middle name - you'll be used to juggling tasks with competing deadlines
- Strong communication skills (and not afraid to use them)
- Be a team player but also work well autonomously
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
