ConstructionThe Brisbane construction team undertakes some of the most complex, significant and high-profile infrastructure, construction, engineering and mining projects and matters in the Asia-Pacific region.
The team covers the full range of construction matters including:
- advice on all aspects of their projects (including pre-contract, project delivery methods, project finance, procurement, drafting standard and bespoke construction contracts)
- contract administration and interpretation
- all forms of construction claims
- litigation
- alternative dispute resolution (including mediation, expert determination, and arbitration (including international arbitration)).
Working closely with partners and the broader team, our client is offering a position which will involve the most intricate and compelling projects in the market. Your scope will span across various sectors, encompassing healthcare, government, infrastructure, transportation, mining, property development and renewable energy.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have at least
4 years post admission experience in construction and project disputes, ideally from a leading top tier, national or international firm.
You will act for a range of clients including owners, developers, project sponsors, financiers, project managers, consultants, and government agencies at local, state and federal level on a mix of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration (also including international arbitration) mediation and expert determination.
In addition to this, you will have:
- An ability to effectively manage larger matters, working collaboratively as part of a team both internally and externally.
- A willingness to participate in business development activities, such as pitch documents, firm-wide pursuits, article writing, attending industry events and hosting seminars.
- A desire to learn, grow, network, and to mentor junior lawyers.
