Their Sydney office is now looking for a Associate / Senior Associate level lawyer to work in their health team.
 
About the role
 
We are actively seeking an Associate / Senior Associate with expertise in health law to join a highly regarded Sydney specialist team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proven capability in the end-to-end handling of complex claims and investigations involving medical professionals, hospitals, and allied health practitioners.
  • Demonstrated experience appearing across all civil jurisdictions, including the Coroners Court, NCAT, the Medical Council of NSW, and various commissions.
  • Skilled in delivering clear, timely, and commercially sound written advice to both insurers and insured clients in high-pressure environments.
  • Experienced in representing clients at mediations, hearings, settlement conferences, and inquests with a focus on achieving favourable outcomes.
  • Actively engages in direct client relationship management and marketing initiatives to foster trust and grow legal practice networks.
About you 
 
You will have 4-10+ years PAE with proven defendant experience - ideally both Civil & Conduct.
 
Additionally, you will have: 
  • Experience and expertise in medical indemnity, health, aged care and/or personal injury law for defendants preferred
  • Strong writing skills and ability to engage well with insurers, corporate counsel of health entities, individual practitioners and management of health clinics
  • Passion for medico-legal issues and claims management
  • Strong leadership skills to assist in developing our junior cohort
