The successful applicant will be working as part of one of the leading Real Property Law Practices in Australia as recognised by Best Lawyers. This practice acts on a range of Real Estate matters including complex leasing, capital transactions, land acquisitions and sales for development.
The Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Associate/Special Counsel to join the firms Property Practice on a contract basis.
This role provides opportunity to work on a range of matters for leading real estate investment trusts across their retail and office portfolios.
The team works on a hybrid model in a supportive and practical environment.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have recently or currently work as a Senior Associate in a busy property practice.
Additionally, you will have:
- Experience in acting for institutional clients
- Experience in running commercial and retail leasing transactions from instruction through to completion, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating leases, works and incentive deeds along with ancillary documents
- Strong drafting skills and excellent attention to detail
- Solid negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to mentor more junior lawyers/paralegals in the team
- Ability to work independently and proactively, and as well as supporting others in the team
- Availability to start immediately
