The Technology and Digital (T+D) team is now seeking an intermediate-level lawyer to join their Sydney office.

The Technology and Digital (T+D) team is a market-leading group of specialists helping clients navigate digital transformation and regulatory change. With deep expertise across digital, data, cyber and AI, the team advises on everything from tech acquisitions and software contracts to complex disputes, supporting businesses in maximising the value of innovation and staying ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Their client list is exceptional, many of whom are long-standing clients.

The Role

Working as a part of this highly dynamic and high-performing team, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of matters, including:
  • Technology – outsourcing, major projects, cloud, as-a-service and agile
  • Complex contracting – working on bespoke contracts and commercial arrangements
  • Media, privacy & big data – acquisition, distribution and licensing of digital content, data protection, cross-border privacy compliance
  • Telecommunications – infrastructure development, acquisitions, JV’s, licensing etc.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong interest and ability to work on high-profile, technically complex transactions. You will be ambitious, capable, and motivated to make a meaningful impact and gain recognition for your contributions.

In addition, you will have the following:
  • 2-4 years’ post-admission experience
  • Strong commercial and IT/technology experience
  • Superior analytical, communications and drafting skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with clients
  • The ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
