The Team

Their Sydney Property Team is seeking a mid-level lawyer to advise major developers, private clients, and government bodies on large-scale developments, complex titling structures, and commercial and residential transactions.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a talented property lawyer to join a supportive team working on end-to-end development matters. As a member of the team, you will:

• Advise developers on all aspects of the development lifecycle
• Run complicated transactions using options, development agreements and joint venture agreements
• Prepare master contracts for the sale and purchase of land off the plan
• Draft bespoke titling and governance documentation
• Provide advice to owners' corporations and community associations
• Assist the Sales team and give complicated FIRB advice.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• 2–4 years of experience in commercial and/or residential property law
• Knowledge of the law relating to NSW conveyancing and transactional work. This includes a basic working knowledge of commonly used off-the-plan contract special conditions, stamp duty, GST and the vendor disclosure obligations under the Conveyancing Act and Regulations
• Proficiency in PEXA
• Familiarity with agreement structures
• Excellent drafting and time management skills
• A proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to excellence
• A working knowledge of different title structures, including strata schemes, stratum scheme and community title arrangement.
