Disputes Team – Government Litigation
In Sydney, the litigation group includes a dedicated government and tortious claims practice led by experienced partners. The team is recognised for its work on significant matters and its ability to deliver technically precise and commercially astute legal solutions.
Lawyers are supported with ongoing training and development, while gaining hands-on experience in complex litigation with a strong focus on advocacy, client engagement, and cross-practice collaboration.
Position Description
You will be working across a broad portfolio of disputes involving intentional torts (including historical abuse), coronial and inquiries, and liability litigation. You will be involved in drafting pleadings, preparing evidence, managing matters end-to-end, and supporting senior lawyers in high-stakes proceedings.

Key Requirements
You will be a litigation lawyer with at least 1 year of post-admission experience. You will bring:
- Experience in personal injury, tortious claims, public liability or government litigation
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent drafting and written communication ability
- A proactive and responsive client-service mindset
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-volume team environment
- A genuine interest in public law, inquiries and institutional litigation
