The Team
The Finance team in the Sydney office is led by highly regarded partners known for their deep market expertise. The team advises a broad mix of major banks, sponsors, corporates, and government clients on complex and high-value financing matters. They work across sectors including real estate, infrastructure, energy, and resources, consistently delivering commercial and innovative solutions on both domestic and cross-border deals.
Position Description
This role will see you working closely with a strong team of lawyers across the finance practice. You’ll also collaborate with partners and lawyers across real estate, corporate, and projects.
The role will see you regularly provide advice on:
- Corporate, leveraged, and acquisition finance
- Real estate and development finance
- Syndicated and bilateral lending
- Transactions involving ASX-listed companies, REITs, and major financial institutions
- Acting for domestic and offshore lenders, borrowers, and sponsors
- Cross-border financing transactions
- Debt structuring, refinancing, and security arrangements
- Legal due diligence and transaction management
- Intercreditor and subordination arrangements
- Financial services regulatory advice
You’ll be exposed to large-scale and complex matters, gain hands-on experience with high-profile clients, and benefit from working in a high-performing, supportive team of experienced finance professionals.
Position Requirement - Minimum 3 years’ legal experience delivering technical advice on a range of finance matters within a top-tier, national, or international private practice environment
- Admission to practise in Australia or New Zealand
- Excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset
- A proactive approach with a desire to be an integral member of a leading and supportive team
- Ability to work to tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously
- Excellent communication skills and a collegial attitude within a team
