Senior Associate or Special Counsel, Property (Residential/Mixed-Use) Lawyer

We represent a leading specialist property law firm that is currently looking to appoint a senior level lawyer to focus on a range of sales and acquisitions relating to complex developments.

Position Description

As a senior lawyer you will work wth a good level of autonomy and be comfortable with the full lifecycle of a conveyancing process.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a range of sales/acquisitions, with a strong focus on Strata Title sales, including off-the-plan and complex developments.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, managing key dates, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting settlements via PEXA and handling all related electronic lodgements.
  • Liaising with clients, agents, legal counsel, and government authorities to ensure smooth, timely completions.
  • Providing a client-focused approach with a commitment to the delivery of high-quality service and professionalism.
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy, service quality, and professional communication throughout transactions.
Requirements

You will most likely have 5+ years' post admission experience in the conveyancing process.

In addition, you will have:
  • strong drafting skills;
  • advanced communication and client liaison skills;
  • in depth knowledge of current laws; and
  • an ability to both cooperate with partners and take responsibility in operating independently when required.
