We have been exclusively briefed to identify a senior level financial services lawyer.
On offer is a Head of Legal position for an ASX listed entity.
Team
Our client's legal, risk and governance team is led by a highly regarded General Counsel. The Platforms business is led by a high performing and well-liked Executive. The Platforms business is responsible for delivering market-leading investment administration and technology solutions to financial advisors, wealth managers, and their clients. This team is experiencing an exciting period of growth.
Position Description
Reporting to the Group General Counsel, the Head of Legal, Platforms will build and lead a high performing team of lawyers, to provide strategic solutions and pragmatic and commercial advice to the Platforms business. You will also provide support to the board.
This is an impactful role, with the opportunity to drive change across the team to deliver an efficient and effective operating model. You will provide legal assistance and advice in relation to the business's strategic initiatives including new business opportunities. Day to day you will provide legal advice to the Platform's business, including in matters relating to the ongoing operation and management of superannuation wrap products, managed investment schemes and managed portfolios.
You will maintain an awareness of key changes in financial services through external networks and participation in relevant industry forums and committees.

Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
- minimum 12 years' post admission experience in financial services law;
- extensive experience and strong legal skills relating to the operation of superannuation and non-super wrap platforms;
- experience in investment and funds law would be beneficial;
- ability to drive change and deliver results and contribute to the development of business plans and strategy; and
- experience presenting to, and advising boards.
