The role - You will be working on a sensitive and high profile matter of public interest as part of a team of lawyers.
- Reviewing and drafting submissions, matter management, preparing evidence, interviewing witnesses, managing subpoenas and assisting with discovery and document management.
- Liaising with external law firms and Commonwealth agencies.
- Managing and briefing external counsel and internal clients.
- Supporting litigation strategy and risk management.
About you - Minimum 5+ years post-admission experience. More experienced legal counsel highly regarded.
- Strong grasp of administrative law and litigation processes, particularly in the public sector.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and provide clear, practical advice.
- Strong written communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
Requirements - Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Full-time preferred. Part-time or job-share may be considered.
