Our client, a global professional services provider, is seeking a senior employment lawyer to join their dynamic national team. Our client works across industries including finance, technology, energy and health. You will work with leading teams and and have the opportunity to engage with new technologies.
The role
Your role will include:
- leading and advising on complex conduct and workplace investigations;
- driving initiatives to improve the firm's approach to people matters;
- leading the firm's approach to employee disputes, including managing external counsel;
- building strong and trusted relationships with internal clients and governance bodies; and
- collaborating with, and supporting other corporate functions.
RequirementsThe successful candidate will be an Australian qualified lawyer with at least 8 years' employment law experience, ideally with a mix of private practice and in-house. In addition, the successful candidate will have:
- confidence in advising senior management with clear and concise advice;
- a proven ability to identify and consider critical issues and articulate legal and reputational risks to support decisions;
- strong interpersonal and commercial skills, as well as an ability to form strong relationships;
- experience with modern awards, whistle blower matters and regulator engagement; and
- experience working within a formal governance framework.
