The firm's Corporate, E&R and Infrastructure team are a leading Australian practice with a large international reach, having the experience and expertise to advise on high-value mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and private equity transactions.  

The Role 

There is currently an exciting opening for an Associate to join the team. You will be exposed to a broad range of areas including corporate governance and compliance, corporate advisory, due diligence, foreign investment, takeover bids, joint ventures and alliance, privatisation, public/private partnerships, spin-offs, demergers and stock exchange listings. 

This role will see you assisting clients throughout the full life cycle of a transaction from preparing the business for sale or due diligence, to negotiation of the deal, closing the transaction across multiple jurisdictions and then integrating the operations of the resulting business. 

Requirements

To be successful, you will have 2 to 4 years' PAE working in a corporate and commercial practice, ideally with exposure to the energy and resources sector. 

In addition, you will have:
  • Excellent technical, drafting and commercial skills 
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build and maintain client relations
  • Excellent commercial acumen and commitment to producing high quality work.
