The Opportunity You will work closely with a well-established team within the employment practice, with exposure to multiple partners and a broad range of high-quality matters.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for running matters, supervising and developing junior team members, and contributing to the growth of the practice through client development and relationship management. The role offers significant client exposure and strong opportunities to build a professional network.
Responsibilities - Advising clients on a wide range of employment law matters and workforce strategy
- Providing strategic advice on the employment aspects of large-scale M&A and major projects
- Assisting with enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes and industrial action matters
- Advising on payroll compliance, general protections and workplace investigations
- Representing clients in Fair Work Commission and anti-discrimination proceedings
- Running matters with increasing autonomy and supervising junior team members
Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships
About You - Senior Associate level employment lawyer with strong experience in employment and workplace relations
- Demonstrated experience advising on employment aspects of M&A, enterprise bargaining and industrial disputes
- Experience advising on general protections and regulatory matters
- Interest in mentoring and developing junior team members
- A proactive mindset and desire to grow within a high performing practice
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and fast-paced team environment
