This is a
permanent role based in Brisbane and will focus on the delivery of a major road project upgrade in Queensland. Consideration will be be given to applicants who are Sydney based and willing to work hybrid in Brisbane.
The Role - Providing commercially relevant legal advice in respect of project delivery, commercial frameworks and proposals, contract interpretation and administration.
- Drafting and negotiating project and construction-related documentation (including PPPs, alliancing, EPC, O&M, ECI, incentivised target cost and delivery partner models, reviewing tender contracts for a variety of projects, negotiating departures, and assisting with potential compliance issues.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex matters.
- Building, managing, and strengthening relationships with the wider business.
- Attending negotiation meetings and other forums for resolving disputes.
- Drafting submissions, and settlement agreements.
Requirements You will be a front-end construction lawyer
with at least 8+ years' PAE gained in a private practice or reputable in-house team. In addition, the ideal candidate is likely to have:
- Good working knowledge of governance and regulatory issues in construction.
- Experience in corporate or commercial is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to influence and maintain key project stakeholders and executive management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
