Our client is a very well recognised, full-service law firm in Australia with offices across the country. This role will see you join the firm’s busy Sydney office to work alongside a committed and genuinely supportive insurance team.

Our client's Sydney workers comp team consists has a rare opening due to the increase workload coming into the team. The team, who are each revered as a leading practitioners within their respective specialisations, have 20+ years' experience servicing insurance and employer clients in all aspects of workers compensation and Statutory matters for Insurers and Government bodies

Position Description

The successful applicant will be working closely with the partners in a team oriented environment with supportive training and mentoring.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to advise clients on liability, strategy and risk management, settlement negotiations as well as analysis and advisory work in indemnity, liability and claims assessment. You will be involved in advocacy across multiple jurisdictions and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

You will be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer with 1+ years PAE within defendant (ideally) insurance litigation ideally in workers compensation; however, candidates with personal injury experience are also encouraged to apply. 

In addition, you will have the following:

• An ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team;
• An ability to maintain and foster client relationships; and
• An ability to consistently present a positive image of self, the team and the firm.
