Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Insurance practice in Sydney, specialising in Historical Abuse Claims.
  
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a market-leading team advising insurers, government bodies, religious organisations, and educational institutions on complex and highly sensitive personal injury claims. Working within a nationally recognised practice, you'll manage sophisticated litigation, build trusted client relationships, and play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers while contributing to the continued growth of the team.

The Role
  • Manage a portfolio of complex historical abuse and sensitive personal injury claims.
  • Advise clients on liability, quantum, litigation strategy, and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of complex factual and evidentiary issues.
  • Prepare pleadings, submissions, witness evidence, and strategic legal advice.
  • Represent clients throughout litigation, mediation, and settlement negotiations while briefing and instructing Counsel where required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers, government clients, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the continued growth and success of the practice.
Ideal Candidate
  • 5+ years' post-admission experience in defendant insurance litigation or personal injury law.
  • Demonstrated experience managing historical abuse or other sensitive personal injury claims.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedure and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters autonomously while delivering commercially focused legal advice.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and client relationship management skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
