The Opportunity
  
Our client, a leading national law firm, is seeking a Lawyer or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Employment Relations & Safety practice in Brisbane.
  
This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia's leading workplace relations teams, advising a diverse client base of major private sector organisations, government agencies, and recognised national brands. You'll work on a broad mix of employment, industrial relations, workplace safety, and regulatory matters, gaining exposure to some of the market's most significant and complex workplace issues.

The Role
  • Advise clients on all aspects of employment law, industrial relations, and workplace health and safety.
  • Represent clients in the Fair Work Commission, courts, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Manage workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, discrimination and unfair dismissal claims.
  • Advise on enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes, restructures, redundancies, and organisational change.
  • Assist clients in responding to workplace incidents, regulator investigations, WHS prosecutions, and coronial inquests.
  • Work closely with corporate and commercial teams on employment aspects of major transactions and projects.
  • Build strong client relationships while delivering practical, commercially focused legal advice.
Ideal Candidate
  • 2+ years' post-admission experience in employment, industrial relations, and/or workplace health and safety law.
  • Experience advising employers on contentious and non-contentious workplace matters.
  • Strong litigation and dispute resolution experience, including Fair Work Commission matters.
  • Excellent drafting, advocacy, and client relationship management skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to manage matters autonomously.
  • A collaborative approach and genuine interest in building a long-term career within a leading workplace practice.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience will be highly regarded for Senior Associate candidates.
