Senior Associate – Real Estate & Projects An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Associate to join a leading Real Estate & Projects practice in Sydney.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-quality transactional real estate and major projects matters for an impressive client base. You will advise leading developers, institutional landowners, infrastructure owners, investors, operators and government bodies on significant projects and real estate transactions across Australia and the Asia Pacific.
The Team The Real Estate & Projects team is a highly regarded national practice advising on sophisticated property transactions, developments and major infrastructure projects.
The team works closely with clients across the private and public sectors, providing practical and commercially focused advice on complex real estate and project matters. With a strong pipeline of work, the practice advises on significant transactions and projects involving a broad range of property and infrastructure asset classes.
You will work closely with experienced partners and lawyers across multiple offices, gaining exposure to complex matters while taking on meaningful responsibility and developing strong client relationships.
The Role We are seeking a Senior Associate with at least 5 years' post-admission experience to join the Real Estate & Projects practice in Sydney.
You will work across a diverse range of front-end transactional real estate and project matters, including the property aspects of major infrastructure projects, acquisitions and disposals, development arrangements, leasing and asset management.
The role will also provide exposure to complex land matters including subdivisions, easements, compulsory acquisitions, Crown land, water rights and biodiversity offsets.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced property lawyer looking to deepen their expertise while working on sophisticated projects and transactions within a collaborative and high-performing national practice.
Responsibilities include: - Advising on the real estate aspects of major infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, pipelines and transmission lines.
- Advising on acquisitions and disposals of land across a broad range of asset classes.
- Preparing and advising on development agreements, development management agreements, project development agreements and project delivery agreements.
- Advising on complex agreements for lease and leasing transactions across commercial, industrial, retail and agricultural property.
- Managing commercial office and retail leasing matters.
- Advising on asset management matters across client lease portfolios, including renewals, variations, assignments and surrenders.
- Conducting property and transactional due diligence.
- Advising on land subdivisions, consolidations, easements and covenants.
- Undertaking legal research and providing advice on compulsory acquisitions
