We are representing a leading independent Australian law firm, with an exciting opportunity within their Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice group.

The position offers flexibility to be based in either their Sydney or Melbourne office.

The role

This role will see you working closely with Australia's leading TMT partners with considerable exposure across a variety of sectors and industries.

The role requires an interest in technology, privacy and cyber matters, with responsibilities covering a broad range of commercial, regulatory and advisory work. This includes:

• Exposure to technology contracts and procurement, emerging technology issues, privacy and data compliance; as well as,
• cyber risk, preparedness and response management.

About You 

You will be a commercially minded lawyer with around 2–4+ years PAE, ideally gained in a mid-top tier national or international firm, private practice or in-house environment.

You will also bring:

• Extensive experience across Technology, Media and Intellectual Property practice with the ability to manage a variety of complex matters
• Strong technical legal and analytical skills, supported by solid academic credentials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex issues and provide clear, practical advice.
