We are representing a highly regarded national law practice seeking an experienced Lawyer to join its growing General Insurance team in Brisbane.
The role
This role offers exposure to a broad range of complex construction and engineering disputes, acting for leading insurers and insured clients on significant claims arising from major construction and infrastructure projects.
You will work across defect, indemnity, liability and recovery matters, including large-scale litigated claims. The role will involve managing the day-to-day conduct of matters, drafting pleadings, submissions and evidence, preparing commercially focused advice and participating in mediations, settlement conferences and court proceedings.
Working closely with experienced senior lawyers, you will have direct client exposure and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility for complex matters. The team offers a collaborative and supportive environment with strong mentoring and genuine opportunities to deepen your expertise and progress your career.

About You
- 3+ years' post-admission experience, ideally with exposure to construction, engineering, property insurance or related disputes
- Strong litigation experience and an understanding of court and dispute resolution processes
- Experience in subrogated recovery matters will be highly regarded but is not essential
- Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Confidence working directly with clients and providing practical, commercially focused advice
- Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of matters with appropriate supervision
- Proactive, collaborative and interested in developing specialist expertise within a leading insurance practice
