We are working with a leading national Australian law firm who is seeking a Lawyer or Associate with 2–4 years' PAE to join its established Sydney Insurance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an insurance or general disputes lawyer to work with some of Australia's largest insurers on a diverse range of personal injury and insurance litigation matters.

The Role

You will be predominantly involved in personal injury litigation across public liability, CTP and professional negligence matters.

Working closely with senior practitioners, you will gain exposure to a broad range of contentious matters and play an active role in managing claims from investigation through to resolution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing advices on liability and damages.
• Conducting detailed investigations into claims.
• Reviewing and advising on expert reports and documents produced under subpoena.
• Drafting and filing court documents, including subpoenas, defences and cross-claims.
• Preparing for and attending interlocutory applications in the Supreme Court, District Court and Personal Injury Commission.
• Assisting with settlement negotiations, witness conferences, mediations and hearings.
• Conducting legal research and monitoring relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
• Working collaboratively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve effective outcomes.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years' post-admission experience in insurance litigation.
