The Private Equity & Venture Capital team advises leading domestic and international clients on complex M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions, spanning early-stage investments through to pre-IPO capital raises and exits.

The Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Solicitor (2–4 PAE) to join a market-leading Private Equity & Venture Capital practice in Sydney.

The Role
An excellent opportunity exists for a Solicitor (2–4 PAE) to join a market-leading Private Equity & Venture Capital practice in Sydney.
Working closely with experienced Corporate Partners and a collaborative national team, you will:
- Act for leading private equity sponsors, venture capital funds, institutional investors and high-growth companies.
- Assist with venture capital and growth equity capital raisings, from early-stage investments through to pre-IPO transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate key transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements and shareholder arrangements.
- Undertake and manage due diligence processes and coordinate transactions through to completion.
- Work directly with clients and other advisers throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Ideally, you will have 2–4 years' post-admission experience gained within a well-regarded Corporate M&A practice.
Additionally, you will have:
- Strong experience in corporate M&A transactions, ideally involving private equity, venture capital or growth equity investments.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and transaction management skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and an interest in developing client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Admission to practise law in Australia or New Zealand.
